Nexus is a film aimed at raising awareness among medical staff and the wider public of the impact of lockdown on young people’s mental health. It is based on research by Dr Lindsay H Dewa of Imperial College London and was co-produced by young people, who were involved in the initial research. Commissioned by West London NHS Trust, the film was part funded by the Burdett Trust for Nursing. The film has been rolled out across the UK through a series of cinema screenings. It has been featured as part of the The Health Check programme on the BBC’s World Service, BBC radio West Midlands and BBC Tees.
Screened to staff at the West London NHS Trust.
It was shown at a series of screenings at the Victoria and Albert Museum as part of the Great Exhibition Road Festival.
Winner of the Communicator of the year at the Royal College of Psychiatry Awards.
Gold winner in the Health and Wellbeing category at the EVCOM Clarion Awards.
Shortlisted for the Health Service Journal Awards for the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year 2023.
